On arrival not even a money change in the international airport. The tourist office hardly spoke english so unless you have a good knowledge of Spanish it will be difficult for you. 'Sichuan Cookery' was published as 'Land of Plenty' in the USA, which possibly explains the confusion. Having said all that, she does have a third book on the way: 'Shark's Fin and Sichuan Pepper: A Sweet-sour Memoir of Eating in China' will be published in March 2008.
