Hi Fi: I keep seeing more and more of your 'blog' - it's very interesting. Can't think why there aren't any other comments - maybe it's too new? RGN

Interesting to hear William C's comment - frankly it doesn't surprise me. The whole thing seems far too artifical - & Zaragoza is definitely not ready for 'international' status.

Just returned from Expo and ld like to share the following comments. On arrival not even a money change in the international airport. The tourist office hardly spoke english so unless you have a good knowledge of Spanish it will be difficult for you. The restaurants have all hiked up their prices and its on a par with London very dissapointed.

Nice to live in Zaragoza. I think you're extremely right when you says Zaragoza lacks of own essence, far from the Roman one. However, I think it's changing during the last few years and citizens' mentality has been evolving since then, focusing on our city development.

Glad to see you again in June!
Best regards

As far as I'm aware, Fuchsia Dunlop has written two, not three, books: 'Sichuan Cookery' and 'The Revolutionary Chinese Cookbook' (on Hunan cuisine, not Sichuanese). 'Sichuan Cookery' was published as 'Land of Plenty' in the USA, which possibly explains the confusion. Having said all that, she does have a third book on the way: 'Shark's Fin and Sichuan Pepper: A Sweet-sour Memoir of Eating in China' will be published in March 2008.
